Mexican Flan with Cajeta
Mexican flan is a delicious dessert, it differs from other custards because it has cream cheese on it. Cajeta is the key ingredient that gives this dessert its unique flavor.
Preheat oven to 350 F.
The flan can be baked in a 9 inch metallic pie dish or individual ramekins.
Pour cajeta in the bottom of your/yours baking pan.
In a blender mix the rest of the ingredients. Pour the mixture into the/each baking dish.
Cover with aluminum foil and place the/each ramekin into a baking pan. Pour enough hot water into the baking pan to come halfway up the sides of ramekins.
Bake until center(s) of flan(s) are gently set, about 40 minutes. Maximum 50 minutes.
Transfer flan(s) to rack and cool. Chill until cold,
